Christmas Biscuits
The christmas biscuits are a typical dessert of roman tradition
Difficulty: High
Timing: 2 hours
Ingredients:
- 6 eggs
- 20 gr of cinnamon
- 200 gr of lard
- 200 gr of butter
- 2 kg of flour 00
- 1 kg of melting chocolate
- 600 gr of toasted almonds
- 2 little envelopes of vanilla
- 2 little envelopes of yeast for sweets
- 1 kg of sugar
- 1 cup of liquer
- a small cup of cacao
Preparation:
Put the flour on the table, add the eggs and sugar mixing everrythings till the sugar become liquid. At this time add the lard the butter previously fused, the liquer, the vanilla, the cinnamon, the cacao, the yeast for sweet and at the end the almonds with chocolate. Mix everything. Cut this final mix in a little cane form.
Put the little cane in a buttered baking-pan then put it already in a warm oven to 220° and wait until this mix becomes of a gilded color.
