Dessert
Struffoli
Tipical dessert cooked during Christmas native.
Difficulty: Easy
Teming: 45 minuts
Ingredienti:
- 4 eggs
- 500 gr of flour
- 50 gr of butter
- 1 envelope of vanilla
- 1 glass of sugar
- 1 envelope of yeast
- 1 cup of water where loose the yeast
- 50 gr of honey
- 250 gr of sugar
- ½ glass of water
- 1 peel of lemon and orange
- colored bonbons
- candied fruits
Preparation:
Put the flour on a table, add the eggs, the sugar, the vanilla, the butter previously fused at the end the yeast previously loosen in a warm cup of water then work this mix until to get a smooth and homogeneous ball.
Divided the mix into many little cane thick almost like a finger than form many little balls and put it on a floured table.
Fry the struffoli in hot and abundant Olio extra vergine di Oliva. Get away it from the Oil when they have reached a gilded cooking and deposit them on a sheet of absorbent paper.
To decorate the struffoli loosen the honey with water and add the lemon and orange peel.
Once loose the honey get away the peels of the citrus fruits and add the fried struffoli mixing them until they are well imbued with the honey.
At this time put them in a large plate and decorate it with the colored bonbons and with the candied fruits.
